The holiday house is located in an urbanized pine tree forest, within walking distance of the lagoon beach 'Lagoa de Albufeira' which is directly connected to the ocean in Sesimbra, Portugal.
The design proposal consists of four identical modules, each with a pitched roof, rotated 90° to one another within the given squarish plot, thus creating and framing four different views of the surroundings.
The pragmatic repetitiveness and modularity of the external timber construction is counterpointed internally through the placement and shifting of volumes, so as to create a hierarchy of spaces between the different living activities, simultaneously enhancing the quality of both systems.
